Seeing a potential issue in the winger position, Brendan Rodgers is reportedly looking to sign a winger.

Leicester City has had its eyes on other wingmen this summer, but they’ve most recently set their sights on Sead Haksabanovic. Haksabanovic is a 23-year-old who currently plays for Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan. He spent the first half of the season playing for them, but he spent the second half away on loan due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

If signed by the Foxes, it would be Haksabanovic’s second run with an English Premier League club after he signed with West Ham in 2017. Though he would not break into the West Ham first team, and would subsequently end up spending multiple seasons loaned out. Haksabanovic would eventually sign a permanent deal to the second team he was temporarily with, Norrkoping.

Tielemans subtly hints he’ll be at LCFC for 2022/23. light. Transfers

In his 31 combined appearances between the two outfits last season, the Montenegrin contributed three goals and four assists. Since making his pro debut at the age of 15, he’s managed for 28 goals and 34 assists in 156 appearances.

With a transfer value around €5.50m, Haksabanovic may be the exact type of player Brendan Rodgers is looking for. He is a young player who adds depth to a depleted wing group. Harvey Barnes is the main option when it comes to wingers and it’s still uncertain if we can trust his health. Besides that, Leicester City isn’t providing to much out wide, especially if Ayoze Perez is sold and Ademola Lookman not being brought back yet.

If Haksabanovic is the man Brendan Rodgers and the board want to pursue, they’ll need to act quickly. Stade Reims, Angers and Anderlecht are all interested in the youngster who has a knockdown fee and wants a move out of Russia. If LCFC want to add a talented young winger to a squad that is desperate for a signing, then they may have their guy.
