The need for a right winger gets more highlighted every time the team plays because it is very obvious in so many matches that almost all the attacks build from the left side of the pitch. Any creativity that comes from the right side is mostly due to the fullbacks. Moreover, it becomes very easy to defend for the opposition if the team attacks from only one side.

Additional depth in centre-back position required

Going into the new season Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana are the starting Centre Backs for the club. With Jonny Evans almost touching the mark of thirty five years it is a very important aspect the club and the manager needs to address. Jannik Vestergaard has not been the player they wanted and Caglar Soyuncu is said to be interested in a move away from the club. Henceforth, we need a player to partner the French International in that position.

If we think and analyze where our past seasons have gone wrong, the most common theme is that of injuries to our backline. This fact raises more concerns regarding the shortage of quality players in the defensive aspect.

City remains the only team in the top five leagues to not have signed a single player this window. It is a no-brainer that if the club wants to achieve something special this season they need some fresh names.
