Jannick Vestergaard: 5

Similarly to Amartey there were no glaring defensive mistakes but once more like his fellow centre half potentially he could have been tighter to the goal scorer. Although the Dane opened up the pitch numerous times with some precise diagonal balls to Luke Thomas, but generally he took to many indecisive touches when looking to distribute which meant he was forced to play many sideward passes.

Caglar Soyuncu: 6

The best of the three centre-halves on the day, aggressive in tackles putting the Derby forwards under pressure on their first touch throughout the game. Only negative was his indecisive distribution, which stagnated some attacks. But there were signs that the Turkish international maybe regaining some confidence in himself, a factor which is vital if he would like to rediscover the form of the 19/20 season that propelled Leicester into Champions League contention.

Luke Thomas: 5

Not one of the best performances for the promising full-back he was not as aggressive as he usually is in the tackle and going forward, he wasn’t able to conjure much attacking threat down the left-hand side. Not a bad performance but not a particularly impactful one either.

Wilfred Ndidi: 6.5

It was great to see Ndidi back on the pitch after such a long time out, he delivered a very typical Ndidi performance, breaking down play consistently, cutting off passing lanes as he so often does when he is at his best. He also showed good solid ball progression to break the lines on occasion but his impact on the game was somewhat limited due to the majority of the play running through the right-hand side. But nonetheless it was a very solid outing.
