Youri Tielemans: 7.5

Captaining the side for the second straight preseason tie despite the Belgians future at the club being unknown, you would have thought otherwise watching the game as his performance was extremely professional, cutting open the home side consistently with progressive dynamic passes. His pre-assist was a perfect example of this, identifying to shift the ball onto his left foot in order to create a better angle to find Castagne on the right flank in his countryman’s stride. Also, his highly intelligent play to create space and fire a shot which was parried to the incoming Callum Wright to put the game beyond all doubt. Another contribution that may not go down in the stat sheet, a very competent performance.

Dennis Praet: 7

The third Belgian to show out at Pride Park, his forwards runs on the inside of the oppositions full backs caused troublesome overloads for the opposition – something which is key when playing wing-backs as the only wide players, in this case a 5-3-2. He was key in the press shutting down passing lanes when the Foxes did decide to press. For a player whose future is also uncertain it was an excellent display.
