Why Arsenal are yet to bid for Leicester’s Youri Tielemans
Many supporters from both sides are wondering why Arsenal haven’t yet made a bid for Leicester City star and Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans.
A lot of Leicester fans would be pleased to see Tielemans sold this summer, going by what I have heard and seen on social media. That stance didn’t arise because the Blue Army no longer have love for the player who scored the dream winning-goal in the FA Cup Final. No.
The reason why certain Foxes would be content with the departure is due to the annoying transfer saga with Arsenal, as well as the now relatively small fee that can be commanded. Oh, along with the possibility of Tielemans leaving for free in 2023 after another year of speculation dragging on. The situation clearly affected the athlete’s performance on the pitch too, in my opinion.
Recently, LCFC chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha confirmed that nothing had been submitted from the North Londoners so far. But why haven’t the Gunners made an offer for Tielemans? Well, Fabrizio Romano claims that Mikel Arteta must, basically, offload midfield men to make room for the Belgian. If that happens, expect an deal to be directly discussed.
Leicester City linked with Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos
As you may or may not be aware, longtime Leicester stopper Kasper Schmeichel is reportedly considering leaving the East Midlands outfit. Unfortunately for the Foxes, if speculation is true, this update comes rather later in the transfer window than would have been ideal.
Apparently the Denmark national team member has agreed personal terms with French outfit OGC Nice. Although no concrete news is presently available via the most trusted of football transfer sources, or reliable LCFC experts.
However, there appears to be a contingency plan in place at King Power Stadium should the 11-year Fox depart the club. Leicester will supposedly target Odysseas Vlachodimos of Benfica if the 35-year-old is no longer on Filbert Way.
Vlachodimos, 28, has recently lost his place in the Eagles starting lineup. Therefore there is a possibility that the Greek international would be open to a move to the Premier League as a No.1.
