Leicester 1-0 Sevilla: 3 Things noticed inside King Power Stadium

Injury woes
Leicester’s season hasn’t even started and we already have two to add to our injury list via Sunday’s friendly on Filbert Way. There could have been a lot more as Sevilla made plenty of dirty tackles. Bearing in mind it was meant to be a ‘practice’ game, the Reds-Whites certainly didn’t act like it at times. Watching on from the stands, there were numerous times when I thought LCFC were going to have a repeat of last year, seeing a floppy leg or two, but luckily that was not the case.
Unfortunately, Wesley Fofana and Ricardo Pereira are the first names on our injury list so far. Harvey Barnes also came off after going down injured, but Brendan Rodgers said post-match:
"“We think it’s ok. It felt unstable, so there was no need to take the risk. He seems fine. We’ll see how he is tomorrow”. Leicester Mercury"
Fofana had a groin issue so his minutes on the pitch were limited due to that, but it’s not known how serious this is. In contrast, Ricardo has an achilles problem which could be serious “Ricky coming off, it doesn’t look good. We had an awful injury here last year. It doesn’t look good.”, certainly not what we want to hear before the season has even begun!
