Leicester City player ratings

Danny Ward 4 – Ward made some good saves throughout the game. However, that’s not enough. His distribution was bad as he could not get the ball to our players. He also seems to lack communication and chemistry with the defense. This led to an easy goal for Xhaka and almost another one for Martinelli. The two goals in the first half weren’t his fault, but the second half was a fall-off in performance.

Timothy Castagne 5 – Castagne did not contribute at all on the offensive end. He wasn’t at fault for any goal specifically, this is a team sport though. He sent a rocket of a pass at Ward which almost lead to an own goal. It was an underwhelming game for Castagne.

Wesley Fofana 5 – Fofana showed some brilliance at the start of the game. He and Martinelli were going at it, showing the fire Fofana has. He had a brilliant tackle & run which almost lead to a goal. That was our only shot on target in the first half. However, Fofana struggled at moments. A miscommunication between him and Ward lead to an easy goal for Arsenal. If that wasn’t bad enough, it almost happened again later in the game. Fofana has a very high transfer value right now. With Leicester City needing a big rebuild and Fofana having clear chemistry issues with the team, we may sadly have to sell him.
