Arsenal 4-2 Leicester City: Foxes player ratings
Youri Tielemans 3 – Having Granit Xhaka make multiple runs into the box, one run even leading to a goal, is so inexcusable. How is Xhaka out sprinting you and getting runs behind you? Tielemans was one step behind the whole game. Multiple of his passes ended up giving possession away and he was useless on defense. It was almost as if he was playing for Arsenal today.
Dewsbury-Hall 5 – Just non-existent today. KDH didn’t contribute on the attacking or defensive end today. Almost as if he was just doing cardio today.
James Maddison 6 – Maddison had a slow first half. Arsenal had him in a box. However, he picked it up in the second half. He was getting the ball more and he was doing as much as he could. He got a couple of shots off and one of them ended up going in. It wasn’t a signature Maddison today, but it was definitely the best performance out of all of the players.
Jamie Vardy 4 – A bad game for the man who just signed a contract extension. As our only striker up front, he brought nothing there today. He assisted for Arsenal today instead of Leicester. When Arsenal scored from their corner, it deflected off Vardy’s head before it went to Jesus. Vardy wasn’t good today.
Dennis Praet & Patson Daka N/A
Kelechi Iheanacho 6 – One of the few positives to take from today. Iheanacho was creative up top. His passing and attacking were top-tier and lead to Leicester actually attacking instead of just defending. His assist to Maddison was top tier. Iheanacho should have earned some more playing time after his performance today.
