This was surely to be expected, given the way the defender behaved towards his previous club Saint-Etienne, when he was angling for a move to the East Midlands back in 2020, but hindsight might look back on the summer of 2022 as a necessary evil for the club, if it can land a mega fee for their young talent this time next year.
