3 Perfect transfers for Leicester in 3 days
A Ghanaian midfielder
Should the Foxes decide to allow Ayoze Perez and/or Praet to depart, an attacking-midfielder will be required to support the team and offer a level of depth against James Maddison. As is usual, Leicester City have been linked to myriad names, yet failed to achieve any of their exciting targets: such as Charles de Ketelaere.
My current ideal choice would be Mohammed Kudus. The midfielder as also performed duties further forward and occasionally on the wing. A progressive and creative player, Kudus is a product of the brilliant development of FC Nordsjaelland, moving to Ajax in the Eredivisie for the 20/21 campaign.
Unfortunately, there are much less statistics available for the player: simply due to which league he plays in and a lack of game-time. To be blunt, Kudus only played 4.7 90 minutes during the previous campaign. He was used as an impact sub by Ajax, yet remains a high potential talent.
Across all competitions in 21/22, the 22-year-old scored six goals and assisted once. One of these goals and his one assist came in the league. It is worth noting where the player was utilised in varying competitions: finding himself a progressive midfielder (Youri Tielemans style) in the league and an attacker in domestic cup competition.
His valuation is much less than that of Lacroix: Transfermarkt value him around £9m, therefore the Foxes could expect to pay around £15m to secure the services of the young talent. Leicester need that creativity, they need that depth, they need Kudus.
