Brendan Rodgers’ promise

Whilst there is positivity off the pitch, fans are still waiting to see the improvement on it. The loss to Brighton saw – rightful – heavy criticism laid on the shoulders of the manager. It is up to him to prove why he deserves to still be in charge of the team.

With Leicester sitting firmly at the bottom of the table with only a single point earned on opening day, Rodgers knows the importance of the long-awaited first league win of the season. Speaking to the media he made this promise:

"“You’ve got to take your medicine and work hard on the training field. I’m pretty sure our next win will be round the corner. That will be a big relief and then we can move on from there.” Quotes via the LCFC club website"

Leicester’s win will come, that is for sure, and hopefully it will provide a boost for the squad, as well as a large sense of relief. Whether Brendan Rodgers will still be in charge by then, we’ll have to see.
