At long last, Leicester City finally have a set-piece coach and a head of recruitment. The Foxes have uncharacteristically been a shambles on and off the pitch of late.

That’s right, I was of the opinion that LCFC was such a well-run club. However, that view was affected by the constant and debilitating injuries running through 2020-2022. Something was not right in that period: an unprecedented number of problems arguably cost Leicester two Champions League places over a couple of technically failed campaigns.

Since then, the fitness concerns have eases drastically. Though some of the main and backroom health staff were replaced and rearranged in recent time. Nevertheless, difficulties in and out of King Power Stadium carried on. There seems to be a decreasing level of diligence around Leicester City.

LCFC injuries, a new Faes, Rodgers’ promise. light. Trending

Brendan Rodgers‘ head being firmly in the clouds as he spouts unrelated spiritualism in interviews following loss after loss, surely doesn’t help a flailing team with disconnected players. A lackadaisical press conference prior to the Aston Villa match, which was subsequently postponed, showed me that the Northern Irishman is resigned to his unavoidable upcoming fate: the imminent sack.

If form was to radically improve, that scenario could lead to Rodgers retaining his position on Filbert Way. Overdue appointments which were needed months ago have eventually been conducted. Now, Foxes of Leicester are not expecting miracles from a new set-piece specialist and a transfer chief. Though the former might perhaps help the side immediately, while better recruitment could contribute to the probably crucial season finale.

Lars Knudsen will now assist the proven-incapable Rodgers with respect to stopping the Foxes conceding from many, many corners and free-kicks. Hopefully Knudsen shall also assist corner takers so that they can miss the first man – that overly annoying trait. The trainer is known for working with the USA national team, as well as Denmark youth internationals.

Meanwhile, it doesn’t get more calamitous than to go through a vital summer transfer window without an expert in place to sign stars. Yet Martyn Glover is now at Leicester, following his overdue exit from Southampton. The LCFC boss and his new coach are already “planning” moves.
