Not only are the Foxes Kane’s favourite opponents with 17 goals in 14 games, but Leicester City have recently become rather charitable towards out-of-form players. Take for example Che Adams, who took advantage of slack Leicester City defending, helping himself to his first league goals since February. This remains a recurring theme and given LCFC’s vulnerabilities on the counter-attack, it doesn’t bode well for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

2. Leicester City selection issues

Brendan Rodgers has made some, let’s say interesting, selection decisions of late. Firstly, he has chosen to ostracise Caglar Soyuncu and now Timothy Castagne. The former can be understood to an extent, though the rift seems to have gone further than necessary.

Castagne’s omissions represent a more baffling situation, with the Belgian one of Leicester City’s most consistent performers. When asked about this in a press conference, the manager justified this by his poor training performance.

What is also worth being aware of is that the full-back has often spoken about the club’s ambition and how the current situation simply isn’t good enough. Perhaps this explains why he has been mysteriously left out of the squad. Regardless, it goes to show how the manager is slowly alienating more and more players which will only go one way.

The other main area of contention remains in goal, with Danny Ward showing that sadly he may not be up to standard in what is an unforgiving league. Even though it is a small sample size, the Welshman has the lowest save percentage at 48%. This is one of the lowest in all of Europe’s top five leagues, let alone the Premier League.
