After a 2-0 success against Leeds United, Leicester City aim to back up their positive result with an away trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. With the Foxes just one point outside the bottom three, this is a chance for LCFC to move out of the relegation zone and start to build some momentum. Although City didn’t play particularly well last time, the three points provide another platform where Brendan Rodgers’ side can prove whether they have learned from past errors.

Leicester City team news

Leicester City stars Wilfried Ndidi, Ryan Bertrand and Ricardo Pereira all remain out of action for the meantime. Caglar Soyuncu also remains absent with a knee problem, although he hasn’t featured in the Premier League this season anyway.

Meanwhile, Jonny Evans is nearing a return but according to Brendan Rodgers, will not be ready for Sunday’s match. Marc Albrighton also was ruled out of Thursday’s victory with a minor illness but will be recovered in time. However, it is unlikely he will start given the fact he has hardly played any football this season.

LCFC predicted XI

Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to make significant changes to the formation although there will be a couple of changes due to fixture congestion and the return of key players. The return of James Maddison from suspension will see him almost certainly return to the starting line-up, providing LCFC with a much-needed boost of creativity.

This would be harsh on Dennis Praet who performed admirably last time out. Potentially, Madders could come in for one of the midfielders but Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to tinker too much. Furthermore, expect Patson Daka to return ahead of Jamie Vardy. In a difficult away match, his pace will be a much-needed outlet at the top of the pitch for LCFC.
