Wout Faes 8

Came out fighting and made a couple of strong challenges to show the Wolves attack he won’t be pushed around but was lucky to avoid an early yellow. A very well-organised player who was very vocal with his teammates. He was remarkably calm under pressure from the Wolves press and picked out some great passes into the midfield to start off some lightning-quick counterattacks.

James Justin 6.5

Still not back to the James Justin of yesteryear and seemed a bit out of his depth when faced with Adama Traore, but managed to keep him relatively out of business with a bit of support here and there. Fantastically blocked Diego Costa’s point-blank shot, which was sure to be going in.

Youri Tielemans 8

Scored an absolute thunderbolt of a goal in the 8th minute that is sure to have added a few grand onto his weekly pay at his next club. Consistently tracked back to make some quality challenges to disrupt the flow of Wolves attacks.

Boubakary Soumare 7

A great show, tracking runs well and showing a bit more physicality with a couple of his challenges. Slowly but surely becoming the player everyone hoped he would be. Sharp with the ball at his feet and when met with some sticky situations. I would like to see him driving forward more with the ball at his feet, he is easily capable of taking a couple of opposing players out of the game.
