Everton want Leicester City attacker free of charge

Ideally, he would play the CAM/CF role which showcases his passing and dribbling ability, unfortunately he faces tough competition from James Maddison, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Dennis Praet to be starting in that position – all of whom have looked in much better shape than the 29-year-old.
Much of Perez’s time in Leicester has been overshadowed by the hefty £30m fee it took to sign him from Newcastle. It’s a figure that never justified itself, even when he hit periods of form. So far, he has made 106 total appearances for Leicester, only scoring 14 goals and assisting a further 11. This season he is comfortably out-of-favour having only made five appearances across all competitions.
As he nears the end of his time in the Midlands, clubs will be debating whether to take a punt on a player who still can offer quite a lot on his day. One club looking to snap him up on a free is Everton.
Everton’s interest in Leicester City man
As per the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees’ interest in the attacker started last summer when Rafa Benitez was in charge. Having managed Perez during his time at Newcastle, Benitez was reportedly interested in a reunion, however a move never transpired and Benitez’s time at Everton was swiftly cut short.
