Foxes of Leicester analyse the latest Leicester City transfer rumours. Recently there have been three new or revived Foxes targets to discuss and subsequently offer verdicts on.

At the time of writing, the World Cup has just gotten underway between host nation Qatar and Ecuador. It doesn’t look as though Leicester City star James Maddison will feature for England versus Iran on Monday in any capacity because of his recently sustained knee injury. Nevertheless, the playmaker should be involved at some stage; he has as much to offer as anybody in the Three Lions squad.

But this article is about Leicester, and more specifically their newest transfer targets. We are entering winter so the amount of speculation surrounding the upcoming opening of the January market increases for each and every Premier League side.

Leicester City want Taylor Harwood-Bellis?

First of all, let’s look at Harwood-Bellis of Manchester City, who is currently on loan at Burnley. The Clarets now ply trade in the Championship, where they lead the pack chasing promotion to the English top-flight.

Evidently the defender is in demand after some consistently fine displays this season. The east Midlands team are said to be interested in the England youth regular alongside west Midlands outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers. It seems unlikely that the Citizens will allow their asset to leave without first having him in their senior squad with his star rising.

Isaiah Jones

Next up is Middlesbrough’s Jones, a winger who was converted from a wingback this term. And he continued his excellent form into 2022/23 by picking up six goal involvements so far.

A plethora of EPL clubs have taken notice of the 23-year-old, with LCFC, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Southampton, not to mention Wolves apparently vying for Jones’s signature. However, if Leicester were planning a New Year swoop, they will be out of luck as he is not for sale at that time.

Salis Abdul Samed

Our final contender for the Foxes is Abdul Samed. He is Ghanaian, like Fox Daniel Amartey, so would fit in at Leicester very well, no doubt. The former is a midfielder for Lens – currently second in Ligue 1 – and fans can watch him for Ghana at the World Cup along with Amartey. City are reportedly ‘following Abdul Samed closely’ ahead of opportunities beginning in the next window.
