That is where Leicester believe Etienne Camara can make the difference. According to Konur, the Foxes are one of the most serious contenders to bring the Huddersfield Town youngster to the Premier League. The player is convinced the ‘PL’ is where he should be headed.

Stylistically, the Camara is an out and out defensive midfielder. Rated in the 98th percentile for aerials won, 79th in blocks, 75th in tackles, but only 9th in progressive passing. Clearly, this is the real disruptor in midfield.

Whether or not the King Power should be focusing on a purely defence-minded player is another matter of contention. However, I for one would always welcome a young option who could develop into a more useful talent.

The Frenchman shows promising technical ability and can certainly improve his passing. To be blunt, the fundamentals are there for a great talent to shine through, but he would not be near Rodgers’ squad for a long time if staying in the senior side.

Leicester City are not the only interested party. Should they be serious about taking the player, they ought to make a bid to buy with loan back this January to have any serious chance of signing Camara, as well as providing the best developmental pathway for the French midfielder.
