Leicester City have several players entering into the final six months of their contracts. Here are the names and what is likely next for them.

15 games played, 17 points gained, 13th in the Premier League. It was not so long ago the adage was ‘rock bottom’. Luckily, a turnaround in form could not have come at a better time, and with the gap to European competition still close, the King Power club have a chance to make amends.

To do that, the side will be refreshing a small amount in January. We know a fullback, centre-back, midfielder, and right-winger are in the crosshairs. It is likely the Foxes are preparing for the departures of their swiftly expiring players.

On that note, I shall detail each player as listed by LeicestershireLive. In addition to discussing what could be next for the player, as well as what is next for Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

Four Leicester City defenders who could leave

Leicester City will be able to refresh their backline or hold on to some slowly aging talents as both the January window and expiration dates come quickly. At the back, Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Daniel Amartey, and Ryan Bertrand are coming up for renewal.
