Leicester City player ratings

Danny Ward 6: Ward is the only reason we didn’t allow 5 or 6 goals this game. He made some spectacular saves throughout the game; especially in the first half. Atrocious defending allowed the Burn goal and he couldn’t save the one on one against Joelinton. Outside of that, he had a good game

Luke Thomas 4: Atrocious player today. He needs to go out on loan and get experience elsewhere. He is not a premier league player. Almiron owned him today and made him look like a fool. He sent him to the ground multiple times. Awful marking and contributed nothing positive to the game.

Wout Faes 5: A rough game for the whole defensive but, Faes still showed bright moments. Impressive clearances and cool sliding tackles. However, Newcastle kept getting shots on us and was carving up the defense. Still was a decent game for the Belgian.

Daniel Amartey 4: Got nut megged by Dan Burn for a goal. That should be enough to justify his rating. He was decent at moving the ball. However, we need more than just that from our defense.

Timothy Castagne 3: Castagne had one good pass in the first half that almost led to a Daka goal. Besides that, he was trash today. Gave up the ball so many times in the back which ended up leading to a Newcastle go. Attackers were constantly getting past him. He looked lost on the pitch today.

Ayoze Perez 4: Poor challenges throughout the whole game and was not accurate at all with passing. Our attack was non-existent for most of the game and he was a huge reason for that.
