Timothy Castagne gave the ball away to Dan Burn before the Newcastle defender put the ball between Daniel Amartey’s legs and into the far corner of Danny Ward’s net. Leicester were completely carved open from a throw in leading to the second Newcastle goal, a through ball from Almiron to Joelinton and Marc Albrighton just couldn’t keep up with him. The Leicester City defence just looked all over the place whenever Newcastle attacked them and it became too difficult to watch for most City fans.

A lack of Creativity

When watching City play you can immediately see a lack of creativity in the team, especially going forward. It is clearly evident just how much that the Foxes are missing James Maddison – there is a hole within the midfield without the England man. The timeline on ‘Madders” injury also doesn’t look encouraging; the club and Brendan Rodgers have offered very little information as to when Leicester’s star player can be expected back in the City side.

The entire King Power midfield looks completely lost at times and their passing was just on another level (and not for the right reasons). Once Nampalys Mendy came on the pitch their passing did improve, most Leicester fans were asking the question: ‘why doesn’t Brendan Rodgers start the Senegalese anchoring player?’ and hopefully we might his introduction from the start against Nottingham Forest.
