Not clinical in front of goal

Leicester had enough chances against a very strong Newcastle side, they managed seven shots in total with just one shot on target, compared to the Magpies’ 22 shots with nine on target. Leicester showed they were able to get out of their own half at times when they won the ball, however, when they got in front of goal Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy couldn’t find their shooting boots.

Opportunities came but they just couldn’t find the back of the net with most shots going wide of the goal and out for a goal kick. Vardy looked like he lacked a lot of confidence in front of goal and hasn’t really looked himself lately, whether that’s his age, the lack of game time or lack of confidence, who knows. Daka hasn’t scored for 14 games (in all competitions) with his last goal coming against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
