With the transfer window dwindling down, Leicester City is desperate to make some transfer moves. Fiorentina has declared Leicester winger target Nico Gonzalez as ‘untouchable’. Defender target Kamil Piatkowski signed with KAA Gent instead of the foxes. With their main targets dwindling, LCFC supposedly turned attention to Manchester United’s Scott McTominay, as you can read here.

The Scottish midfielder used to get frequent playing time at United. However, the signing of Casemiro and United being interested in Ivan Fresneda has dwindled down his playing time. A move to King Power Stadium could give him the playing time he desires. However, this is a move Leicester needs to avoid for plenty of reasons.

A defensive midfielder is the last position Leicester City needs to address

Brendan Rodgers and his side have a lot of weaknesses. The squad has major holes such as centre-back, right-wing, full-backs and goalkeeper. With there being so many issues to address, why are we looking at a defensive midfielder? This squad has Wilfred Ndidi, Boubakary Soumare and Nampalys Mendy. That is three Premier League quality defensive midfielders in the squad already. A fourth is clearly not needed as we are struggling to find playing time for the three we have already.
