Leicester City’s Blue Army received the best update possible on Thursday afternoon. Playmaker and Foxes favourite James Maddison could make his comeback in this upcoming match.

Good news is certainly welcome on Filbert Way at present. There hasn’t really been any of it for over a month. And, while other similar, worse and better teams sign reinforcements during the January transfer window, LCFC are yet to make one signing.

That last fact is not lost on Leicester supporters who made their unsatisfied feelings clear as the Foxes lost fairly miserably to east Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Even though much of the fan base have kept faith that a few decent acquisitions will be made for Brendan Rodgers’ starting lineup, trust has thus far been to no avail.

Yet, there is growing frustration at the quality of play, results and obvious squad stagnation. Trust me, chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha, a couple of fresh faces will make all the difference, hopefully on and off the pitch.

As you can see in the tweet above from Foxes of Leicester’s account, we’d like to know what you think is going wrong for the King Power club. Tell us in the comments section on this page, or on Twitter via the post. FoL shall then select what we deem the best and most insightful answers to form a piece on the current state of the Leicester City Football Club. Thanks in advance! Now to what you probably came here for: the Maddison announcement.

Leicester are lucky to have Maddison; for just how long LCFC can hang on to his incredible talents, is another question. But he’s no use to the Foxes whilst on the treatment table – Rodgers need the former Coventry City and Norwich City man on the field of play. And that especially applies as the outfit slump to a relegation battle.

Other prominent fitness issues have compounded the matter; surely the Leicestershire side’s medical department is due another thorough inspection, because the current situation is ridiculous once again!

Although, the Three Lions squad member could be back very soon, indeed. The Northern Irishman stated that ‘Madders’ might perhaps be fit for the Brighton & Hove Albion clash on Saturday, January 21. However, BBC Sport claim the midfielder won’t start.
