Foxes of Leicester take a look at Leicester City fitness news via Brendan Rodgers’ recent press conference in order to devise a predicted Foxes XI for the Brighton & Hove Albion match on Saturday.

As you can probably tell by the implication from our photograph of a smiling James Maddison at the top of this article, there is optimism around the Blue Army once again. This is because Rodgers revealed that the playmaker could feature versus Brighton in the Premier League. Although, I don’t imagine that Maddison will start.

Elsewhere in the Leicester squad, Ayoze Perez might not be risked. Meanwhile, Midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Dennis Praet should be available for the match. FoL’s predicted XI is, therefore, underneath:

Danny Ward; Luke Thomas, Wout Faes, Daniel Amartey, Timothy Castagne; Wilfred Ndidi; Dewsbury-Hall, Youri Tielemans; Harvey Barnes, Marc Albrighton; Patson Daka.

Can Leicester City turn form around again versus in-form Brighton & Hove Albion?

The Foxes have become a notoriously sluggish and arguably badly motivated team under occasionally obstinate manager Brendan Rodgers. The squad stagnates drastically while no reinforcements are bought, bar Wout Faes, in over a year. Regrettably, there is no sign of the three signings we’ve been promised arriving.

To be fair to him, Rodgers cannot pull the purse strings and Khun Top Srivaddhanaprabha must reinvest profit gained back into this team! LCFC are in a relegation battle, and there is no changing that unless results improve; points are the ultimate and could be boosted via adequate acquisitions.

All this leads to fan apathy and disgruntled feeling on the sidelines. This does not help the team! In addition to that, existing players are well aware of, and pressured by, the unacceptable form and also need rejuvenation on the training field through an injection of quality into their ranks.

Add into the mix a fixture against an over-performing as well as confident side and you have a tougher test than usual. So can the east Midlands outfit defeat the Seagulls this weekend? I am unconfident at present, as usual, due to contemporary starting lineups. However, when you least expect a positive outcome, the King Power players often surprise with a result. Let’s say a score draw, to stay completely on the fence.
