Before the Premier League clash between Midlands rivals Aston Villa and Leicester City on Saturday, Foxes of Leicester detail injuries, talk Harry Souttar and Tetê, and name a predicted Foxes XI.

The obligatory pre-match press conference was conducted on Thursday for Leicester. Manager Brendan Rodgers took questions from journalists and updated everyone on his squad’s status.

As you can see above, The Athletic’s Rob Tanner was in attendance at LCFC’s media centre. He reports that Wilfred Ndidi wont feature for personal reasons. Club captain Jonny Evans and midfielder Boubakary Soumare shall return for the next outing. Meanwhile, Ricardo Pereira will likely compete for the Under-21s next week.

As you may well be aware, the legendary Jamie Vardy has been unfit of late. However, the No.9 could be in contention for a run out against the Villans, having begun training on the pitch once again.

Predicted Leicester City lineup for Aston Villa trip

What most Foxes fans will be keen to know right now, is: will we see any new signings start? In addition, the Blue Army are wondering if we’ll see any of the new faces at all. Well, let’s have a look at what the gaffer said before FoL name an expected team.

First of all, Kristiansen. The leftback looked decent in his short debut cameo. I expect the Dane to start with Luke Thomas still struggling quite a bit, in my opinion. The former is a particularly promising signing because of the troubled left fullback spot.

Secondly, Harry Souttar. The Australian defender must be assessed before a decision is made on his availability. Trust me, Souttar will become a fan favourite over time.

Thirdly, Tetê. Will the Brazilian entertainer and technician be among the starters at the weekend? Rodgers’ insight on the player was inconclusive in that regard. Although, the Northern Irishman is particularly complimentary of the winger.

I think there is a fair chance of Tetê beginning the match, especially in the absence of loaned pair Marc Albrighton and Ayoze Perez. The XI we believe Rodgers may use is below:

Danny Ward; Victor Kristiansen, Wout Faes, Daniel Amartey, Timothy Castagne; Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Youri Tielemans; James Maddison; Harvey Barnes, Tetê; Patson Daka.
