Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers seems thoroughly at the end of his patience as a result of constant questions concerning Foxes star Youri Tielemans’ future.

You really can’t blame Rodgers for this one. I’m increasingly typing that type of statement these days. He doesn’t always get it wrong! And the Foxes manager is entitled to be irritated from answering the same question for two years.

On this occasion, the Northern Irishman was conducting a recent press conference when a reporter enquired about Tielemans’ expiring contract and what is next for the Belgian. The midfielder is almost certain to depart on a free transfer this coming summer. But as the 2023 January transfer window closed, Rodgers showed that annoyance regarding typical queries:

"“I started this chat two years ago. I don’t know what can happen. My focus is on who’s here and we’ll see what happens. He’s only got a number of months left on his contract and this has been going on for two years. I’m not going to continue speculating. We’ll see what happens.”LCFC Live"

Explaining what Leicester City chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha did in order to clear Foxes debt

You are likely aware that LCFC is in good hands with the Srivaddhanaprabha family. You may also know that Aiyawatt, aka ‘Top’, has recently made a very laudable move with respect to the club’s finances.

A small section of the more vocal Blue Army supporters began to lose their patience with chairman Top at the perceived lack of investment in new signings not too long ago. However, the additions of fresh blood in the form of defenders Victor Kristiansen and Harry Souttar, along with winger Tete on loan silenced even the most impatient of the fan base.

I must admit, I was beginning to wonder if the acquisitions would occur, even in desperate need. Yet the LCFC owner got there in the end. I believe the trio will help the east Midlands side avoid relegation; the win at rivals Aston Villa was a real building block.

Furthermore, as previously alluded, the Leicestershire club also announced that the Foxes chief had cleared a large amount of the club’s debt. This development was achieved using ‘Debt-To-Equity Conversion’. Basically, this means that Srivaddhanaprabha ‘relieved Leicester City Football Club of outstanding debts to its parent company, King Power International’. Essentially LCFC suggest this is “evidence” of KPI’s commitment to the team’s long term sustainability.
