Foxes of Leicester look ahead to Leicester City’s match against Tottenham Hotspur. Including injury news and a predicted Foxes XI for King Power Stadium.

Losing 2-0 at Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest’s City Ground on January 14 resulted in calls for Brendan Rodgers to be sacked from the Blue Army. Maybe those requests were reactionary to a bad derby result, though, the Northern Irishman was under increasing pressure with a déjà vu edge.

The Foxes gaffer has managed to turn fortunes around once more, however, in a continuous Groundhog Day situation, as previously outlined. A draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, which could have gone either way, followed the Tricky Trees defeat. Subsequently, LCFC made the FA Cup Fifth Round after bypassing Walsall with minimal fuss.

Lastly, Leicester’s brand new signings put on a real show as the team beat Aston Villa 4-2. Harry Souttar will be looking to make up for his footnote in proceedings, although the Australian was dominant in other areas. Meanwhile fresh talent Tetê and Victor Kristiansen were wildly successful at Villa Park. If the defence tightens up now that the Foxes attack is seemingly sufficiently strengthened, relegation should be a distant threat remaining unrealised.

Predicting Leicester City’s starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur clash

A real challenge to Rodgers’ latest progress and reimagined team awaits the east Midlands outfit on Saturday at the traditional kickoff time of 3:00pm: Tottenham. FoL would briefly like to wish Spurs boss Antonio Conte all the best as he recovers from surgery. It wouldn’t be the same without him jumping up and down the touchline in distinctive and passionate fashion.

Thankfully, news states that the Italian should be in the dugout for his Lilywhites return. The Spurs head coach returned to Hotspur Way for training on Thursday following recovery in his home country. While some Foxes will be missing from proceedings: Ryan Bertrand, Boubakary Soumare and, potentially, Jonny Evans. Bertrand and Evans will return soon, though.

Importantly, Wilfred Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira shall be included in the matchday squad. Our expected LCFC XI is below:
