How Leicester star Tetê’s entourage look after him
Foxes of Leicester detail how Leicester City’s star Brazilian winger Tetê has an entourage that look after him in preparation of games.
Tetê may not have been as dazzling against Tottenham Hotspur as he was at Villa Park, but the majority of the Blue Army still see the winger as a kind of revelation at King Power Stadium. He’s got a long way to go to fill Riyad Mahrez’s boots, yet he seems to be the closest Foxes wingman to doing so since the Manchester City forward departed Filbert Way.
An interesting article on Tetê was published last week. The piece offered insight into the 22-year-old loanee’s off-field life:
"Tete has an entourage, who he personally funds, to ensure he is in peak condition. The group have travelled with him to the East Midlands and Tete has impressed manager Brendan Rodgers with his dedication.‘He’s got nutritionists and people around him who help him prepare,’ said Rodgers.‘He has strength coaches and others who live with him. They’re part of his team to make him the best he can be. For a kid, that’s really impressive.‘As a footballer, I know you’re at a club, but you’re self-employed. In that sense they’re no different to a plumber, a builder or an electrician.‘To maximise your career it’s about doing everything you can and having the best tools you can to help you.’Daily Mail"
Leicester City are clicking again – is Brendan Rodgers to thank?
There is currently a social media debate regarding the Northern Irishman’s involvement in turning the Foxes around again. Regardless of three new signings being thrust into the starting lineup and doing good jobs – the boss must trust them. Irrespective of Rodgers’ rather surprisingly unselfish tactics alteration to a style he didn’t favour with Kelechi Iheanacho spearheading the attack – the gaffer did put faith in the Nigeria international.
You can see why some fans might perhaps argue that Rodgers just sat back whilst the side was strengthened and returned to form with the correct personnel. But this is a team game. Managers are naturally fastidious in scrutinising every facet of their setup. The boss also prepares and instructs the XI. Therefore there is design and structure in the transformation.
Following the match, Rodgers spoke to the media about a number of matters as usual. The former Liverpool and Celtic head coach was asked a question pertinent to this discussion. Under the subheading ‘Signings, wins, debt written off – all coming together?’, the 50-year-old basically said that sufficient acquisitions have galvanised his men and enabled them to complete properly while playing the football he aimed to instil.
In addition to that, Rodgers noted that new face Harry Souttar was particularly imposing and effective in the win over Spurs at the weekend. The LCFC chief also mentioned the prowess of Victor Kristiansen in the outfit. Meanwhile Tetê – who the ex-Swansea City man agreed wasn’t as prevalent comparatively to the Aston Villa outing – stretched the match, opening spaces and causing the Hammers defence many issues.
