Leicester City host Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup as the Premier League side look to progress. Here is our predicted XI with significant team rotation.

Another match, another opportunity to improve and prove ourselves capable of turning this season around. The FA Cup is the final competition Brendan Rodgers’ men have to possibly do well in. So, this fixture is rather important.

Leicester City press conference news

As per BBC Sport Leicester, the Foxes will be without Youri Tielemans for sometime after a ‘nasty’ injury occurred during the Arsenal fixture. This is concerning, but we hope to player will be back to his regular self in good time. Either way, we shall see other players in his steed.

Furthermore, Leicester’s catalyst James Maddison is expected to make a return to the squad following an illness which kept him out of the King Power XI for the Gunners’ tie. That will undeniably be a major boon.

The head coach also commented on how their previous escapades could help them:

"“We know what the feeling is like and we are in front of our own supporters. But you need to get there. Especially after the weekend, it’s a chance we want to take”"

As Rodgers’ statements suggest, the Foxes will be in front of their own supporters, with recent memories of winning it, and had a disappointing weekend against the league leaders. There needs to be a positive reaction, there needs to be a mentality to win this tie and progress in the cup.

"“They like to be expansive and are good technically. They play well out of the shape and you’ve seen that in the results”"
