Foxes of Leicester supposedly have the answer as to why former Chelsea manager Graham Potter rejected Leicester City’s advances.

If you thought this article would merely consist of me listing and explaining the many reasons why Potter wouldn’t want to come to LCFC at present, you were wrong. There are also many aspects of the great east Midlands club that would attract top tier head coaches. That said, there is a report which allegedly has an explanation for the Englishman denying himself the opportunity to manage the Foxes.

If you were not aware, the ex-Blues gaffer was offered the King Power post almost immediately after Brendan Rodgers mutually agreed to vacate the role. Incidentally, the Northern Irishman is supposedly being lined up at Tottenham Hotspur. That prospective appointment will end in tears, if not straight away then over a sustained period. So, why did the Englishman reject the LCFC manager job? Well, it is claimed that the hierarchy in Leicestershire have admired Potter for some time. Yet he is said to have declined the approach in order to take a break from football.

Which famous or up-and-coming boss is likely to takeover at Leicester City?

Let’s take a look at some favourites for City‘s main post now. Brentford’s Thomas Frank is in the frame again, if we believe speculation. Could Leicester even contemplate possibly raiding Celtic once more? Yeah, sure; the rated Ange Postecoglou’s name has been mentioned all over the place. Maybe the Hoops could be tempted into a little pay day.

dark. Next. Why Potter may be the right manager for Leicester

A few more bosses are linked: ex-Leeds United chief Marcelo Bielsa, and Rafa Benitez, once of Liverpool and then Everton. Lastly, talk of former Spurs gaffer Mauricio Pochettino has arisen, too. A more realistic and likeable choice, for me, is Bielsa.
