Foxes of Leicester devise our preferred Leicester City starting lineup ahead of the crunch Bournemouth clash. Along with predicting Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler’s XI.

In the latest Foxes outings, the intensity and quality required to win Premier League contests was missing from Leicester‘s play. The will and determination of FA Cup opponents Blackburn Rovers, and EPL opposition sides such as Southampton, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and even Chelsea overcame the east Midlanders with rather concerning ease. I don’t believe Stowell and Sadler got close to receiving a noticeable improvement from the side. That isn’t a knock at the temporary gaffers, yet a note that the players still haven’t shown that they deserve to remain in the English top-flight.

There is some injury news for the King Power outfit before clashing with fellow relegation candidates Bournemouth. First of all, no fresh problems have occurred within the squad; that point may be considered as progress by some observers. Youri Tielemans is unavailable for Saturday’s game but will return to training next week. Jonny Evans should be available this weekend. My favoured starting formation might perhaps now switch to a flexible 3-4-3. Wout Faes and Harry Souttar could be a great partnership, but seem penetrable. Evans in a three-man system may alleviate the unwanted permeability. Victor Kristiansen and Ricardo Pereira are my wingback selections. Without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Papy Mendy is needed; I would drop Wilfred Ndidi for Boubakary Soumare. While James Maddison as a central attacking midfielder adds balance, Tetê hasn’t done enough to justify inclusion. Therefore Maddison, left-sided Harvey Barnes and a central Kelechi Iheanacho round up an ideal current front line.

Whereas I opted for a back three, I imagine Evans won’t start the contest and the interim bosses shall choose a 4-3-3-type setup. Jamie Vardy is likely to spearhead the attack once more. The likelihood is that Soumare for Dewsbury-Hall is the only actual change from the Villa fixture.
