Foxes of Leicester discuss Leicester City’s latest injury return dates, including: Kelechi Iheanacho, Ricardo Pereira and Jonny Evans. Along with an update on the legendary Jamie Vardy.

I am not going to say that this news could save Leicester from the dreaded drop. But I may just think it. Iheanacho’s importance seemed misplaced under former Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers. Although new head coach Dean Smith was willing to utilise the Nigeria international properly – or at least try. However, the striker suffered an injury which might perhaps have seen him miss the remainder of the current campaign. Smith revealed that there was a possibility that his man would return for the final match of the season versus West Ham United, though that consolation did not ease LCFC supporters’ worries.

Ricardo is also a huge miss at King Power Stadium and around the country. There is an unfortunate knock on effect here too: Luke Thomas‘s re-entry into the team or even the starting lineup. Thomas is inadequate at this level. His inclusion will and has come back to bite Leicester bosses. With Victor Kristiansen appearing more hot-headed than on first inspection and rather inconsistent, Thomas was called upon. I believe the Portuguese could have actually taken Timothy Castagne’s place too. Castagne gets an easy ride from fans of the east Midlands club for whatever reason, but his defending and overall form has been questionable for most of the season. Hopefully the reintroduction of veteran centreback Evans will bring reassure and firm up the defence.

Prior to Monday’s trip to the capital to play Fulham, Smith updated media on his squad’s fitness. Thankfully, it appears that Iheanacho could feature against Newcastle United and the Hammers. Meanwhile Ricardo should be in contention for the Cottagers clash. Finally, Evans is back in full training; Vardy is fully fit.
