A complete rebuild is likely to take place at Leicester City this summer. The once familiar Foxes we saw week in and week out will be leaving for bigger challenges as they don’t want to compete in the championship. With all of the players that will likely be sold, Leicester will have the biggest transfer budget in the championship. So who are some faces LCFC should bring into their squad, whether it’s a purchase or loan?

Leicester City should target Anthony Elanga: Winger Manchester United

The wing position will likely be the East Midlands team biggest worry this summer. The depth on the wings was already such a massive issue for the Foxes. Now with Harvey Barnes likely to be sold this summer and Tetê’s loan ending, the roster won’t really contain anyone senior in that department.

Manchester United on the other hand have the exact opposite issue. They have too many wingers. Just last season they had Marcus Rashford, Anthony, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Alejandro Garnacho, and Facundo Pellistri. If that wasn’t enough, Amad Diallo was brilliant during his loan spell at Stoke City. He will likely join the competition to compete for playing time. United has already transfer listed one of the wingers I didn’t name, Anthony Elanga.

With a rumored transfer fee of just £10million, Elanga could be a steal for a Championship team ready for promotion next season. The Swedish youngster is your prototypical winger in today’s age of football. He has top tier pace and is great with the ball at his feet. In his limited time with United he was able to score goals and get assists. Give him consistent playing time in the Championship and he will be a problem.
