Leicester defender decides to stay with Foxes in Championship
A Leicester City defender has decided to stay with the Foxes in the Championship to help them back to the Premier League. Foxes of Leicester hail Victor Kristiansen’s decision.
Kristiansen’s time on Filbert Way started so well. But ultimately things went badly, he was then dropped and the east Midlands club were relegated.
Nevertheless, the Dane now has FoL’s respect as he confirmed that he shall stay at Leicester. Kristiansen revealed that he will ‘give his all‘ to get the Leicestershire side out of the Championship and back to where they belong.
Why on earth did Kelechi Iheanacho and Timothy Castagne pick up Leicester City awards?!
I know it was about a week ago, but I’ve been trying to get my head around LCFC’s decision to still single out any Fox this season. The recipients were also baffling. Although the choices could have been worse, I do not understand why any player would be honoured in this adverse era for the King Power team.
First of all, Iheanacho picked up Men’s Player of the Season award; the fan base voted to attribute the accolade. Overall, the Nigeria international only actually featured in 28 EPL matches during the campaign, with a mere 11 starts for the Foxes. He also played in four Carabao Cup games. ‘Seniorman’ did, however, score three goals in three FA Cup appearances where he is the highest scoring active footballer. A cult hero, I suppose ‘Kelz’ is as deserving as any of the pretty disappointing Leicester stars.
Meanwhile, Castagne was given the Players’ Player prize for 2022/23. OK, if you read my stuff you’ll know that I am not a real champion of the fullback. I am unconvinced that the Belgian had a particularly impressive term. Again, he was the best of a bad bunch. Yet whichever side he is on, the opposition got plenty of joy; Castagne is more effective whilst attacking. Nevertheless, if his peers deemed him worthy, he must be so.
