Foxes of Leicester discuss the latest apparent news on Leicester City’s manager search as a whopping eight candidates are named in sports media. The potentially new LCFC head coaches are comprised of Steven Gerrard, Scott Parker, Adi Hutter, Kieran McKenna, Dean Smith, Enzo Maresca, Carl Hoefkens and Graham Potter.

First of all, let’s talk Gerrard. Leeds United and even clubs in different countries are after him, so we hear. Yet it is claimed that the former Liverpool midfielder would be willing to join Leicester in the Championship.

Hoefkens is another very recent name on the lengthy list. He is a 44-year-old onetime boss of Club Brugge. Ex-Fulham man Parker has apparently spoken to the King Power side. As has Adi Hutter, who managed Borussia Mönchengladbach in the past. City are merely said to be ‘considering’ Ipswich Town’s McKenna at this stage.

Manchester City’s Enzo Maresca rumoured to be about to have further Leicester City talks over becoming boss

OK, the Foxes have already spoken to Maresca, say the previous outlet. He is at the heart of the article despite the frankly brief mention of the other six supposed men in the running. However, because the Italian is mentioned as ‘on the verge of another round of discussions’ with the east Midlands outfit’s owners, it is conceivable that he may be leading the race.

There is no mention of a leader, yet we can possibly rule out Potter. I don’t believe Dean Smith’s chances to be that great or he would have surely been offered the position already. Leicester better be careful – as they seldom are these days – whilst working efficiently and fast in case every other choice declines the opportunity.

Next. Leicester fullback may leave Foxes with transfer home. dark

In which case they’ll only be left with returning to Smith. The ex-Aston Villa gaffer might have other plans by then. Or he could have become disillusioned with LCFC at that point, just like so many of us fans are at present.
