3 Leicester players who deserve a chance in Northampton friendly

It is officially the calm before the storm for the Leicester City players and the fans. In just a couple of weeks the EFL season will begin for the Foxes. However, they have some pre-season action to play in before then.

These four pre-season games are much more important than they’re being built up to be. This is the first opportunity for Enzo Maresca to implement his style of play into the squad. This is the first opportunity for newly signed players to get used to playing with the East Midlands players who’ve already played multiple seasons together. Lastly, with certain players battling to get playing time this season, these four games can decide who gets those appearances at the start of the season.

Maresca and his squad have their first official game of the pre-season against Northampton Town. Northampton is currently on good form as they were able to secure promotion to League One last season. The newly promoted team have currently brought three new players into their squad while seven have left.

These next couple of games will say a lot about Leicester’s potential for this upcoming season. With that being said, here are three players I believe deserve a chance in the Northampton town friendly.
