Hamza Choudhury: After his loan spell at Watford, Choudhury is set to have a part to play in Leicester’s promotion push.

Dennis Praet: It is no secret that Praet wants to leave Leicester with multiple Italian clubs linked. It looks like Leicester will have to take a big loss on the fee they paid for the Belgian.

Boubakary Soumare: The Leicester fanbase seem to be divided on Soumare’s future. The Frenchman has not set the world alight since his arrival from Lille and whether he remains at Leicester is still unknown.

Kasey McAteer: The youngster has been given minutes in the first team and after returning from loan last season he will be hoping he can force his way into Maresca’s plans.

Patson Daka: The Zambian has shown glimpses of promise but is yet to really get going and needs to impress Maresca in pre-season.

Jamie Vardy: Leicester City’s number nine comes into this one on the back of fresh links with Everton in the week, and while it may seem unlikely, Leicester fans will hope they are false.

Leicester City’s predicted second half XI

Daniel Iversen: The Danish goalkeeper seems like Leicester City’s number one at the moment but with links with fellow Dane goalkeeper Mads Hermansen this week, his position may come under threat.

James Justin: After returning from another long-term injury it feels like an important pre-season for Justin who will be hoping he can have an injury-free season.

Jannick Vestergaard: It has not worked for Vestergaard, with the former Southampton player restricted to cameo appearances. Leicester City will likely be looking to move him on this summer.

Ben Nelson: The academy product, born in Northampton, is back from successive loans at Rochdale and Doncaster Rovers. It feels like the centre-back has been around for years but at just 19 there is still a lot of room for growth. Could this be the sort of player Maresca will have an eye on?

Victor Kristiansen: The left-back has not had an easy start to life in the Midlands as he was immediately thrust into a relegation scrap. He could have a breakout season.
