Leicester City chairman Top Srivaddhanaprabha has named a Foxes transfer target in an extremely rare revelation from the owner.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha, or Khun Top, is respected on Filbert Way. I would not say that he is near to being as revered as his late father by Leicester supporters, but he did oversee a brilliant maiden FA Cup triumph. The avoidable demotion from the Premier League has, however, contributed to a worse impression of the chairman for the Blue Army recently.

Nevertheless, Top remains admired by the majority of Foxes fans. They’ll be even more impressed if he gets the chequebook out again. Incredibly, the King Power chief personally spoke about potential a fresh face at Leicester in Thai star Suphanat Mueanta:

"“Suphanat is a talented player. We want him to sign a contract with Leicester, but with many processes, it’s not that simple. So I want him to join the practice, so that the new coach and the staff can see first.“However, we do not close other opportunities if the work permit has a problem. Now, Suphanat has been sent to practice with OH Leuven, looking at which path is the most appropriate.“We have to be patient. Of course he is everyone’s favourite (in Thailand). He’s a really talented kid, but we have to look at many aspects.”"

Explaining the latest Leicester City transfer delay

Foxes of Leicester shall now just briefly explain the reasons why the apparent Stephy Mavididi to City transfer has been hindered. After Newcastle United signed LCFC academy graduate Harvey Barnes, the Foxes obviously had to rethink their wing department. To be honest, the east Midlands side will have been plotting potential reinforcements for months.

The Foxes have made four acquisitions so far this transfer window while the latest head coach Enzo Maresca rebuilds and revives the squad. Callum Doyle joined on loan from Manchester City, Harry Winks came from Tottenham Hotspur, Conor Coady arrived via Everton and Mads Hermansen was bought from Brøndby.

Former Arsenal and Juventus man Mavididi is expected to be the fifth addition to the roster. The Montpellier forward was thought to be on his way to Leicester by now, but there’s been a delay. With an agreement reportedly close for some time, payment details are now said to be delaying the deal. The proposed transfer is not deemed to be at risk by protracted negotiations. The nature of instalments or clauses are likely sticking points.
