Leicester City have supposedly made a decision on midfielder Hamza Choudhury’s future amid external transfer interest. And Foxes of Leicester opine on another wanted man.

Choudhury’s Championship experience could be invaluable in the coming season. He is also a committed Leicester Academy product.

The player wants his future settled whilst Southampton monitor his situation. Though it appears as though the east Midlands outfit want to keep Choudhury, as you can read here.

The latest on Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho’s situation

According to reports, Foxes icon Jamie Vardy, Portugal international Ricardo Pereira and Belgian Timothy Castagne could well follow Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes out of the King Power door. That would be a shame. The departure of Vardy would surely be the most upsetting hypothetical exit for the Blue Army. However, the most damaging outgoing for LCFC as a team would arguably be Kelechi Iheanacho.

I know, right – who would have guessed that a few years ago? Well, ‘Seniorman Kelz’ has been perennially underrated by coaches, managers and support alike for the majority of his career. He currently holds, if you weren’t aware, the accolade of being the highest active FA Cup goalscorer. That is a much more impressive statistic than some realise.

Losing Iheanacho for the upcoming term – which is a definite possibility considering his standard having proven calibre at every level – would be unfortunate but not necessarily harmful for the campaign. Basically, I think LCFC will be instantly promoted back to the English top-flight in the first try irrespective of the attacker’s presence.

Iheanacho has admirers and media deem him a probable leaver. So which teams are interested? The linked article above claims that five ‘top’ EPL sides are after the Nigerian. Not to mention outfits from Saudi Arabia hovering. Possible suitor Everton have now set their sights on another target, it is suggested. The 26-year-old is said to be valued between £10m-15million by Leicester.
