Highly-rated defender reveals he wants to stay at Leicester
Highly-rated Leicester City defender James Justin has revealed that he is committed to stay with the Foxes this season in the Championship. Foxes of Leicester detail the decision.
England international Justin ‘has no intention’ of leaving LCFC at present. This news will delight Leicester fans.
Justin says that the Leicestershire outfit stuck by him when he had an injury after taking a chance on him. In addition to that, the 25-year-old revealed that his ‘plan is to help the team get promoted this season’.
Is Kasper Schmeichel to return to Premier League with Leicester City’s Midlands rivals?
Schmeichel has recently been linked with a transfer to Nottingham Forest. I know, right. That isn’t an introduction that any Leicester fan wants to hear. Unless, that is, the former LCFC goalkeeper had lost so much form that he’d be awful with the Tricky Trees and be a part of their downfall to the second tier. In all seriousness, this is one rumour that the majority of the east Midlands side’s faithful would prefer not to come to fruition.
At least the Foxes wouldn’t have to necessarily compete against club legend Schmeichel if he joined Forest this season. Then again, Leicester may draw the Nottinghamshire team in the FA Cup or League Cup respectively. And the King Power club aim to be straight back in the Premier League for the 2024/25 campaign so a meeting between ex-side and hero might perhaps transpire.
So, Steve Cooper is said to be interested in the stopper, currently at OGC Nice in France, in what is described as a prospectively ‘surprise’ switch. In fact, things are moving along as reports at the time of writing suggest that talks have opened. Mostly the Blue Army will wish Schmeichel well if this story becomes reality. Though, a minority of vocal Leicester supporters would likely be quite disappointed to see him with the Garibaldis.
