Premier League club Liverpool are apparently targeting arguably Leicester City’s most important player for a transfer this summer. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was a wanted man before winning the Foxes their opening Championship match against Coventry City. Foxes of Leicester detail and offer a view on the situation.

Dewsbury-Hall wad particularly crucial to the current LCFC campaign prior to his timely brace against Coventry which once again proved his credentials. He has thorough Championship knowhow, along with being a Leicestershire lad committed to the cause.

According to this report, Liverpool are ‘looking at‘ ‘KDH’; the Reds plan to add to their midfield department. The 24-year-old would be ideal backup on Merseyside – so let’s hope he stays at Leicester!

Doom-mongering begins with Leicester City in the financial crosshairs

Leicester’s high comparative Championship wage bill has been discussed in the media recently. The Foxes’ player payments are apparently at the height of £62million, placing them in first position in the second English tier. Fellow relegated Premier League outfits Southampton and Leeds United have respective £52m and £44m overall salaries.

Therefore financial expert Kieran Maguire suggests that the King Power team will be forced to decrease athlete pay – if they fail to return to the top-flight within three years. This feel a bit like stating the obvious after demotion already led to amendments in LCFC accounts. Not to mention that one or two more seasons would be absolutely detrimental and most experienced and capable squad members would hypothetically consequently leave in that time frame anyway.

I am sure that Maguire’s figures are absolutely correct, he is clearly only doing his job. Yet his theoretics are not directly related to football; odds are that such a previously well run, successful and backed club shall probably make it back to the EPL during that period. His basis for comment appears to relate to parachute payments ending in three years.
