Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi scored for Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City side as the Foxes brushed aside Burton Albion in the League Cup. Foxes of Leicester provide analysis, information and entertaining videos.

Pundits, commentators and, most importantly, fans can see what Maresca is attempting to cook up at Leicester. He may well be a Premier League-quality head coach having to adapt to a more physical than tactically-dominant division in the Championship. Time will tell. We, as fans, observers or bloggers, cannot get too ahead of ourselves after two matches. Yet I would say that, at present, it seems as though the man from Italy was a shrewd and potentially astute appointment by LCFC bosses.

However, the latest news, or speculation, from the east Midlands outfit’s sphere suggests that the side may be stripped of more outstanding or possibly crucial assets as they chase promotion. Harry Souttar is wanted north of the border, if we trust transfer rumours emerging in the heat of the open window. Timothy Castagne is wanted by clubs from a few European top leagues. Meanwhile the respective futures of strikers Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka are continually debated within football media. I am sorry to worry the Blue Army, but more outgoings are likely; there is a chance that one or two new faces shall still arrive at King Power Stadium.
