Leicester City player ratings

Jakub Stolarczyk 7: The Polish keeper wasn’t really challenged in today’s contest. However, you can not complain about a clean sheet. When Stolarczyk was asked to make a play, he did. Caught everything that came his way and he was successful at moving the ball.

Callum Doyle 7: That goal line clearance was a beauty from Doyle. That was just one example of his fantastic defending today. He had the Burton attackers stuck in a box.

Wout Faes 8: Faes was the center of the team today. He went 181/187 on accurate passes today. His distribution was top notch and his defense was stellar. Faes is one of the biggest names on this team and he is playing to that standard.

James Justin 7: Justin looked good in his first appearance of the season. He was quick and agile on the ball and he was great at one on one defending. Justin is going to be a versatile player for Leicester this season. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Wanya Marçal-Madivadua 8: I think this youngster is going to be Leicester’s X-factor this season. Maresca likes to play direct passing and slow build up. This is a great way to play, but you need an outlier to switch up the momentum. Marçal-Madivadua is that guy. He’s great on the ball and loves a one on one against a defender. He showed fantastic promise today and I hope he continues to play because he is a game changer.
