Burton 0-2 Leicester: Foxes League Cup player ratings
Marc Albrighton 7: At the age of 33, Albrighton still plays like he’s 25. This was the definition of an Albrighton performance. A cross into the box leads to a goal. Please never change Marc.
Hamza Choudhury 6: I’m a tad bit worried for Choudhury. He wasn’t bad today. However, when the pressure came to him, he was losing the ball or making a bad pass. This can lead to errors that cost us in the future. However, he was strong on the defensive side of the ball today.
Harry Winks 6: Winks played his role today. Always made sure the ball was put where it was needed today. Average performance today: nothing spectacular.
Wilfred Ndidi 8: Where in the expletive was this player last season? In fact, where was this player ever? He’s an offensive animal. His passes were accurate and his lobs into the box were breathtaking. Then his goal was directly in the top right corner. What a great showing from Ndidi today.
Dennis Praet 6: Praet was great against Coventry but that momentum did not continue into today. He was not a significant factor in today’s game.
Kelechi Iheanacho 9: This man is a Swiss Army knife. He can score and he can pass the ball. His goal was a thing of beauty and that pass to Ndidi was mesmerizing. If Iheanacho is still here at the end of the transfer window, he needs to be our starting striker this season. Him and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be our best players this season.
Dewsbury-Hall & Ricardo Pereira: 6
