Leicester 2-1 Cardiff: 3 standout Foxes
Taking home the gold in my ever increasingly important player rankings will be Wanya Marcal-Madivadua. This kid is just impressing me every chance I get to see him. Besides scoring a searing goal, Marcal made 93% of his passes count, drew three fouls and completed half his dribble attempts. While there are still some aspects of his game that need to mature, it seems to be happening before our very eyes as we watch the team each week.
The one area I would focus on that needs improvement is his turnover rate. Marcal did give the ball back to the Blue Birds 10 times in this game. I’m sure the coaching staff will have a word with him about this, although being a winger who is most likely encouraged to attempt take ons, I’m sure it will be a soft word. We don’t want to do anything to stifle this burgeoning talent.
Leicester City Football Club have now won their first three league games for only the fifth time in their history. None of these second division games have been straightforward, all with tense moments and glimpses of magic. I believe with every win the fans will understand more the true wonder and spectacle that is Enzo-ball, and will soon wonder how they ever lived without it. Let’s keep storming this league, we need to knock Ipswich Town off their high horse! Up the Foxes!
