There has been absolutely no secret that Enzo Maresca wants to bring more players into the Leicester City squad. News has recently come out that he is interested in three more signings. But, in order for him to be able to make those transfers, he needs to sell some players. Talents such as Harry Souttar and Boubakary Soumaré have been left out of the squad to entice other teams to make a bid for them. It appears one of those players that have been left out have received a bid the Foxes are ready to accept.

Patson Daka is receiving heavy interest from League 1 side AS Monaco. The French side had recent interest in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun. However, the Gunners had a price tag too high for Monaco’s interest. This led to them being interested in the Zambia international.

The East Midlands team is more than willing to make a deal for the striker. But, they want to make back the £23 million they spent on him just two seasons ago. Since joining Leicester, Daka has scored 15 goals in his 71 appearances in all competitions. Daka still has a relatively high transfer fee because he has three years on his contract and he is still just 24-years-old.

Maresca wants this deal done for a numerous number of reasons. Firstly, it is believed that Daka thinks he is too good to be playing football in the Championship. The manager wants that attitude out of the squad and wants players who fight for the badge. Joel Piroe has been on Leicester’s radar the whole summer. However, they still face competition for his signature from Leeds United and Southampton.

The favorites to win the second tier of English football also remain interested in another winger. That is why the squad is interested in Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Turkish winger Yunus Akgün.

The transfers of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes transformed the team into a dominant side that can have a serious run at winning the EFL. If we could get some transfer money for a player who doesn’t want to play for the team, Maresca’s side can make some last minute transfers and turn this squad into a team that can win the league with no other competition.
