Along with a few Premier League clubs, Leicester City are targeting a 19 year old striker. Meanwhile, Foxes defender Wout Faes has made a transfer admission.

Leicester got back to necessary winning ways immediately after a rather major hiccup against Hull City. A ridiculously badly organised Southampton side were on the receiving end of the east Midlands team’s redemptive and explosive victory on the south coast. Although there were still one or two issues in the Foxes attack and defence. For all of Stephy Mavididi’s positive influence, he should be passing for two tap ins, to the clear annoyance of teammates such as a lung-busting Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Secondly, defending for the Saints goal was calamitous, along with other instances of incompetence. Otherwise the King Power outfit seem destined for Premier League football in 2024/25.

While there is good progress on the field of play, LCFC are said to be making moves behind the scenes. Leicester are said to be monitoring an apparent wonderkid from English Football League Two side Colchester United. Bradley Ihionvien is a 19 year old forward who has attracted many potential suitors already, including top-flight clubs Crystal Palace and Burnley. Watford and Norwich City join Leicester in admiration from the Championship. The Englishman is described as a ‘powerful’ striker who has two goals in four appearances so far this season.

Leicester City and Belgium centreback Wout Faes admits he could have left the Foxes in the summer following transfer discussions

Faes was incidentally and interestingly left out of the LCFC lineup that defeated Southampton on Friday evening. James Justin was instated in the XI; Foxes of Leicester have called for the England international to be deployed for some time now.

The Belgian recently divulged that he was involved in discussions about leaving Leicestershire over the summer. Read the comments below:

"“There have been discussions,” he told Humo, per Sport Witness. “But there was also no point in choosing a club where I would sit on the bench. That would have been detrimental to my position with the national team.”On staying at Leicester, he added: “We are playing for the title. Is it better to chase an elusive ball in the Premier League for an entire season? The level in the Championship is also not nothing. In England they call it the most difficult competition in the world.”"
