Norwich vs Leicester: predicted Foxes starting XI
By Will Kennedy
Attack
On the wing I would select both Yunus Akgun and Abdul Fatawu to accompany Kelechi Iheanacho. Akgun couldn’t get into the game against Hull when he started on the right and it’s a tight call whether to start him or the in-form Kasey McAteer, but I think the Canaries will provide a good game for Akgun to showcase his talents.
On the left I would swap out Stephy Mavididi for Fatawu. Mavididi had a superb game against Southampton, but I think he may be better used as an impact-sub against Norwich. Fatawu heavily impressed coming off the bench against Hull and deserves his first Leicester City start. Still 19, he has a lot to add to his game, but Leicester will need both he and Akgun fully firing as the season congestion rolls around.
Leading the line is Kelechi Iheanacho. Yet to score in the league, Wednesday seems the perfect occasion to open his Championship account. He replaces Vardy who, at this point in his career, should not be starting week-in week-out if Maresca wants the best out of his game. He put in a great shift on Friday and can impact the game off the bench against Norwich if needs be.
