Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City continued their Championship charge with a well-fought 1-0 win away at Norwich City. Goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Kasey McAteer meant that the Foxes departed East Anglia with all three important points in their pocket.

Leicester leapfrogged Ipswich Town back up into the top two with only unbeaten Preston North End, who they play in a couple of weeks’ time, separating them from the summit of the Championship.

Here are 3 Leicester City positives to take from the game!

Mads Hermansen

The Danish goalkeeper has settled in nicely to life in Leicester, with the £5million fee that Leicester paid to Brondby looking an absolute bargain. Kudos goes to the recruitment team at Leicester because I’m not sure there is a goalkeeper out there at that price who would better fit Maresca’s system.

Against Norwich Hermansen showcased his ball-playing capabilities as he had the 3rd-highest pass accuracy, completing 61/68 passes bettered only by Harry Winks and Jannik Vestergaard. The Dane had the 3rd-highest number of passes and the 4th-highest number of touches.

His save to deny Shane Duffy was pure instinct and one that I’m sure will be in his highlight reel at the end of the season. The chance came at a pivotal point in the match with the score 1-0 to the east Midlanders. An equaliser at that point could have changed the game entirely.
